ALL ABOUT KEYS
In order to keep service fees as low as possible for everyone, we have a rather rigid
key policy. In order for you to avoid key pickup/drop off fees when you need service
again, we strongly recommend that you allow us retain your keys for future services.
Many clients enjoy the comfort of knowing that if something does come up, (i.e. you're
working late and can't get home to your doggie, you forgot about the iron or stove you
left on or you got locked out), we have a set of keys; and being good neighbors, we're
more than happy to help out in a pinch.
Because we are very serious about the security of your home while you are away, we will
not pick up or leave keys "under the mat" or "hidden under the patio planter" nor lock
the keys in the house on the last visit. You do have the option of bringing to and/or
picking up your keys at our office or having us mail them back to you. But since we are
out on rounds most of the day, it will be difficult at times to find us here and leaving
an identified key in our or your mailbox isn't recommended. Also we can't accept garage
door openers in lieu of keys, as we would have no way into your home in the event of a
power outage.
In any case, you must be very sure you're giving us the correct keys and have tested all
of them before turning them over to us. You won't want an extra locksmith bill to deal
with on your return. You can rest easy no matter if your keys are attached to us while
in use or are stored and locked safely away; your name and address are never attached to
them. All keys are assigned a special tag, and our coding system is secure and safe -
and that's all we can say about that!
